20th annual Music Festival

For twenty years the Mendocino Music Festival has been a North Coast summer tradition. Featuring incredible music in the performance tent on the Headlands of Mendocino, it is not just an event, but an experience. This year we are planning a fabulous celebration of two decades of "extraordinary music in a spectacular setting." Along with the Festival Orchestra, Chorus, and Chamber Players, our performers will include Jupiter Trio, Anonymous 4, Les Percussions de Guinee, Ruthie Foster, Chris Smither, Stephen Prutsman, Mike Marshall & Choro Famoso, and the Austin Lounge Lizards. Selections will include Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, a night of Big Band classics, and a concert version of Porgy and Bess as the finale. The Mendocino Music Festival takes place from Tuesday, July 11, 2006 to Saturday, July 22, 2006. Tickets go on sale towards the end of May.
