ECOPALOOZA 2005 - Mendocino County's 1st Annual Expo Of Green Living

ECOPALOOZA 2005 - Mendocino County's 1st Annual Expo Of Green Living

Sept. 24th, 9am - 8pm, Admission $5

Downtown Plaza Park & Convention Center, Ukiah, CA

Ecopalooza proves that living green is living good!

There are environmentally responsible, economical options open for nearly every choice we make. Many local and bioregional businesses are thriving while providing non-toxic, earth-friendly products and services. A growing number of people are interested in and even passionate about natural building methods and materials. Solar and wind power are no longer just the territory of fringe consumers.

Come on out and join some like-minded folks. Bring the kids! See what they can make using good ol' mud. Sample some vegetarian and vegan cuisine, pick out some fresh organic produce, try your hand at straw bale building, all while listening to the region's best musicians.

ECOPALOOZA 2005 will feature attractions such as: workshops and exhibits, solar-powered music, Kids Town and activities, green businesses, organic and vegetarian food, green building demos, speakers, hybrid and biodiesel car display, solar home and eco tours, Eco Film Festival, Poetry Festival, a Farmer's Market, Sustainable Fashion Show, and much more.

CELEBRATING SUSTAINABILITY IN MENDOCINO COUNTY AND BEYOND!

If you have a green/eco organization or business (all food vendors will be organic or mostly organic) that you would like to have represented (exhibit or vendor), or if you're an environmentally-oriented singer-songwriter/band, poet or artist and want to perform or exhibit at ECOPALOOZA 2005, please contact Kirsten via the web site. Complete vendor and exhibiting information will be posted at the web site by April 15th. For general information, please contact Larry also via the web site.

ECOPALOOZA 2005 is a project of Ecopalooza Green Living Expos, a workers cooperative, and is sponsored by Cloud Forest Institute and the Mendocino Environmental Center.

Mission Statement:

Ecopalooza Green Living Expos and ECOPALOOZA celebrates and supports the environmental sustainability and bioregional awareness of Mendocino County and the Redwood North Coast Bioregion of California.

Ecopalooza Green Living Expos is a Worker Cooperative that collaborates with and supports local and regional businesses, organizations, and communities who are working toward a more sustainable future. We produce ECOPALOOZA - an annual educational festvial that celebrates environmental and bioregional awareness, while encouraging the creation of new green living initiatives and actions in Mendocino County and beyond.

Our goal is to educate, inspire, and empower the residents of Mendocino County to make more environmentally responsible and economical choices.

We believe that working together we can create healthy ecosystems and communities, sustainable resource use, and clean air, water, and soil.
