2005: Mendocino Heritage Days

For the second year in a row, the Mendocino Business Association (MBA) is sponsoring a celebration of the rich history of the Village of Mendocino, one of only two National Historic Preservation Districts in the state of California. We've partnered with many of the significant institutions in town, including the Kelley House Museum, the Ford House Visitor Center, the Mendocino Art Center, and Mendocino High School.

Over a span of 10 days, you'll find a variety of events that highlight different aspects of Mendocino's history, including:

• 100 Years of Movies Filmed On the Mendocino Coast
• Full Moon Cemetery Tours
• Living History Reenactments
• Tours of the Pt Cabrillo Lighthouse and its Fresnel Lens
• Walking Tours of Historic District and Heritage Roses
• Demonstration of Antique Hand-Pumped Fire Engine
• Talks about the Pomo Indians
• Lectures about topics of Historical Interest
